Elisabeth Madden's Art

Above all else, Elizabeth has always had a passion for painting.  Her commitment to artistic expression is woven into every area of her professional life.  Elizabeth’s medium is watercolors as well as mixed media, and collage.  She has been featured in both shows and galleries, where her work has won several awards, and many original pieces have sold.

She is a recent graduate of the Master’s of Arts in Art Therapy (MAAT) program at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT.  She has completed internships at Four Winds Hospital in New York with adults, adolescents, and challenged children and at The Wellspring Foundation in Bethlehem, CT.  This summer she will guide and teach children art at several schools in Fairfield County.

Elizabeth earned her AAS degree in Commercial Art from Sullivan County College in the Catskills and a BA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City.  She worked in visual merchandising, designing interiors and window displays for Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as working with set design and prop construction for National Television.  She has owned and operated her own interior design and consultation business for twelve years.

Elizabeth lives in Connecticut and is available for commissioned work on caricature portraits, barns, buildings and other subjects.
